Reasons why you connect to Linksys Extender

  1. Position of the Linksys Extender

The position of Linksys extender shouldn’t be optimal. You are supposed to place your range extender in a neat, clean, and open area. Also, it is not meant for placing nearby walls, doors, and windows. But you are free to place it nearby a wall socket so that you wouldn’t face any problem while plugging it in. However, a successful installation will make you free to move the range extender to its intended location.

Quick Note: Once completed, try again to access Linksys Smart WiFi Login page.

  1. Look for Interference Creating Obstructions

Well, there would be some objects in your office which creates loads of interference in the path of WiFi signals. Such obstructions or objects include floors, walls, doors, electronic appliances like microwave, electric iron, radio, refrigerator, toys, etc. On the other hand, metal gadgets or objects are also a big reason for signal interference. Similarly, reflexive surfaces such as fish tanks and mirrors also affect the WiFi signal strength.

Important Note: It is better to place your range extender out of the reach of such objects.

  1. Discontinuous Network Connection

Unplug your Linksys range extender and after 4-5 minutes plug it back again. This process is known as ‘rebooting’. After sometime wait for few minutes and let the extender boots up properly. There are also chances that you might get connected with someone else’s WiFi network. In order to check this, go to network icon in the taskbar and look for the network name. Once done, hit the connect button.

  1. Is your WiFi Coverage Up to the mark

Another reason why your Smart WiFi Setup Not Working would be that the WiFi coverage is not up to the mark or improper. To fix this problem, consider changing the antennas position of your Linksys range extender. Here, we would like to recommend that place the antennas of Linksys device in a straight vertical position.
